Palakkad Math Circle is IIT Palakkad's outreach initiative to provide a friendly learning space that promotes a mathematical culture and nurtures mathematical talent in the local community. It is patterned along the lines of Mathematical Circles which is a highly successful pedagogical model that brings professional mathematicians into direct contact with school students.

This program is primarily targeted at high school students and aims to help enhance the level of mathematical education in schools around Palakkad. As of July 2024, around 115 students from 25 schools in Palakkad and Chittur educational sub-districts are enrolled in the program. The program actively seeks the participation of teachers from local schools and considers their role to be central to the goal of having an impact at the community level.
